From the creative minds of Bad Bruises and the House of Red Doors.

House of Lunacy is an adult playground for the senses, a sex positive space with consent and comfort at it’s principle core.

A warren of Art, Theatre and Performances from Berlins most creative souls.

Set over 4 floors of the infamous Renate Club, House of Lunacy creates a lovers Labyrinth for all to explore and ‘get lost and find themselves’ in. No experience is the same.

We are a LGBTQ+ space and we do not tolerate any forms of discrimination or Homophobia.

House of Lunacy has a strict dress code and door  policy. Each event is created with a creative theme in mind for guests to explore with their clothes, costumes and bodies. This is not negotiable and we expect all who jump into this world to join in. This is to enhance everyones experience and to truly create a new adventurous world of love and freedom.

    Truth or Dare

    Do you remember the lockdown?

When disembodied dancefloors were craving for bodies?
Where should we take our longing?
Where should we take our desire?
Where should we take our flesh?

    Screenings

05.04.2025 Berlin Achtung Berlin Film Festival
    14.04.2025 Porn Film Festival Vienna

Inspired by the feeling of loneliness and longing during the first Covid lockdown, the experimental documentary „Truth or Dare“ begins. From interviews, that were conducted over a distance unfolds a fragmentary narration by people from different parts of the world who all came to Berlin to find a home and belonging here in the queer sex-positive scene. It’s about the discovery of queer bodies, the need for consent and the struggle for awareness of self-determined sex work.

As we glide through nocturnal Berlin and deserted clubrooms, we hear sirens singing and luring us in. The voices of different people are telling their stories, yearning for freedom, recognition and belonging.

The protagonists take us into their private spaces. We hear them talking about their desires and boundaries. We feel how they relate to each other by the way they speak and touch: It’s the playful, tender and animalistic aspect of sexuality. As a couple and in a group. And why all that?

“When you see birds flying together in a flock, there is a loss of control and a loss of ego for the bird who is flying in that majestic way with all the other birds.
People go on roller-coasters to feel that loss of control and people sing in choirs, because we want to feel part of something.“

Against the Current: The Omaha, Francis La Flesche, and His Collection

The exhibition is the result of an extensive process in which a group of Umoⁿhoⁿ people told the story of their lives and culture, their past and present. The exhibition is conceived as a circle of stories—there is no beginning and no end. An integral part is a 7-channel film installation in which 22 individual sequences are assembled by an algorithm into ever new combinations. By focusing not only on the objects, but above all on today’s people and their stories, the exhibition aims to create new perspectives on Native American culture and history.
